Process for Web Design:

 

Step1 Discover

The journey begins after your initial inquiry! We either meet in person or jump on a relaxed Skype/phone call to get to know each other and go over project expectations, timelines, payment plans, etc. If we're a fit, I email you a personalized contract (updated with all the project details as discussed) for you to sign. To lock your project into my calendar, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the projected final bill is due upon signing.

Step 2 Define

After receiving your deposit and signed contract, we meet (in person, Skype/phone call) to go more in detail over the topics we previously discussed. In this meeting, we make sure to talk about your website’s desired look/style and feel, which (if any) particular extras you want and how to implement them. We also arrange a date/time for any needed photo-shootings. I walk you through the process of setting up a Squarespace account and we pick a theme you love.

 
 

Step3 Design

Once your Squarespace account is setup, I get to work creating and designing your site! During this stage, I may also:
-take custom photos or provide you with a curated selection of stock photography to choose from
-provide text for your approval
-create and build a branding strategy within your site
-implement SEO techniques

Step 4 Dance!

Once the final site has been approved by you, the remaining portion of the bill is due. Upon receiving that, I set your site to live and switch over the Squarespace account to you. As your design guide, I make sure you not only have a great website but know how to use/update it. This is why, I create a personalised 1 page PDF tutorial showing you step-by-step how to make small text changes or switch out photos yourself. Of course, I am always available to help with any questions or additions you want in the future, but I believe a sort of freedom comes from being able to make small changes whenever you want. Now all that's left is to start that celebration dance!

 
 
 

Process for Branding, etc:

 

Step1 Discover

To lock your project into my calendar, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the projected final bill is due upon signing.

Step 2 Define

After receiving your deposit and signed contract, I send you my client brand questionnaire. From your answers, and depending on the project (ie. logo package, brand package, illustration, etc) I create up to three mood-boards to help set the tone and aesthetic direction of your project. Once you pick a mood-board/direction, I start the super fun part of designing/creating your graphics!

 
 

Step3 Design

Based on your answers from the questionnaire and the tone of your chosen mood-board, I create up to 3 initial designs (actual number is defined in your contract and dependent upon the type of project). You choose one design to revise and I revise it up to two times (additional revisions can of course be purchased). By the end of the revisions, you have graphics you love and can proudly use to represent your brand!

Step 4 Dance!

Once the final design has been approved by you, the remaining portion of the bill is due. Upon receiving that, I send you all the usable files. A digital thank-you gift is included in the final email, along with any instructions or tutorials needed to implement your graphics. As your design guide, it is important to me that you not only have great graphics but know how to use them.  Now all that's left is to start that celebration dance!
